gobble, gobble

My cousin, Kathy, sent me this idea thinking that I would be interested. And you guessed it, I just had to go through my ribbon right away and make some. I haven't made a bow in a long time (an old phase). But I happened to whip these out in a couple of hours - due to cute kids who want to help.

My biggest dilemma was deciding what size of eyes to put on the turkeys. I ended up using the bigger ones. It makes the turkeys look more...cartoon-ish (I don't know what word to use here - but they're stinkin' cute!)

Thank you Kathy and Binge Crafter for the great project today!

pumpkins

I saw these cute pumpkins (on Pinterest) and knew I just had to make these. I made some short ones and tall ones. I personally am becoming quite fond of the little ones. They sit on my kitchen table.

These pumpkins are made from a 4x4 post and a 7/8" wooden dowel. I rounded up some pine cones from a neighbor and had the paint on hand. My favorite part is the burlap tied around the stems.

I had fun making these - super easy. Thanks to everyone and their great ideas they post on Pinterest!

Halloween

It only took me a year to finish my Halloween craft that I started last year with my sister.

These are made from a 2x6. A little paint, bead board, wire and gauze. Bodda bing, bodda boom :)

trick or treat

It's been about a month since I last posted something - I'm a little embarrassed, but it was a busy August.

Anyway, this year I am making the girls' their costumes and all the kids some trick or treat bags. I got finished with the bags, here they are. I got the pattern for the bags HERE. It was really easy. I made 3 in about a days time - if you take out sleeping and interruptions ;)

Happy Birthday

I wanted to make something that was a little durable to use when decorating for birthdays. I got these gifts and cupcake at The Wood Connection. They have such cute stuff.

I made the names using a 2x2 and then cut it down to size (yes, I know how to use a chop saw). I have one for each family member. I ordered some vinyl from my sister (she's the best), painted the wood and now I have some cute decorations for that someone special on THEIR day.
